Janet Burke became interested in the Chow Chow Breed when a neighbor invited her over to their house to see a litter of Chow puppies. Since then, she was the owner of two puppies: a little black boy with a crooked tail adopted from her neighbor and a lavender female purchased from an advertisement in the newspaper. However, she recognized that both of these Chows were neither what she wanted nor suitable for breeding.

[ux_products products=”24″ tags=”chow-chow-products” orderby=”rand”]After spending a lot of time researching about the breed and the breeders, Janet met and purchased her future champion, Bullet, in a dog show when he was 10 weeks old. He finished his championship when he was only 7 months and 1 day old.
The first breeding of Janet was in late 1988. Tory, her foundation stud dog, was bred with Marquis and Miss Zesy, another two female Chows acquired from Doug and Pamela Bailey. Doug and Pamela are well-known breeders because of their accomplishments in these Chow pedigrees. Tory was the main guy at Janet’s house for several years. She now has a 7 years old grandson of Tory who has produced excellent quality as well.
At Cross B Chows, the breeding is done with only the standard and consistent quality in mind. As a responsible breeder, Janet has achieved great success in Chow breeding over the past 30 plus years. Many of her Chows have been adopted everywhere, and become stud dogs and bitches for another Chow kennels.
